Madelon Davis loved deeply and without reservation — her family above all, the wide skies of Montana she called home, and the Michigan roots she never let go of. These are her photos: ordinary moments, gathered years, and the faces she cherished most.

She left us on a sunny day at Cooney Reservoir, sitting by the water near the Beartooth Mountains, surrounded by friends and family. Her last words were about going for a boat ride. We are grateful she went peacefully, outdoors, doing what she loved.
